Zoo day

Friday we went to the zoo. For us, the zoo is not entirely about the animals, but a place where we can each indulge different interests, get some exercise, and enjoy good weather.

We rode the train, examined the train topiary, rode the carousel, examined the ropes course/climbing wall, played at the playground, examined the sky ride, ate at the zoo café, took some photographs that include all three boys, watched a video of snake feeding time, followed dinosaur footprints, read signs, made our own plastic animal souvenirs, climbed on rock walls, watched workers service vending machines, and even saw some live animals.

I might mention that, in particular, R spent a lot of time observing and learning about the animals, while E spent more time observing and learning about mechanical things.
